Some of these include; reed switch technology, capacitive switch technology, optical character recognition, full travel membrane switch technology, notebook keyboards, laser printed key caps, optical-mechanical mouse technology, voice recognition, wireless keyboards, and many other concepts. In addition, KeyTronicEMS displayed the world's first keyboard utilizing Universal Serial Bus (USB) technology based on a USB controller developed by Intel Corp.
Secure finger image identification is one of KeyTronicEMS's latest technological advancements allowing computer security with a finger-print not a password, utilizing either a Windows 95 or Windows NT workstation interface. KeyTronicEMS has also brought the first thin client device in a keyboard to the enterprise. The ClienTerm thin client features all the terminal functions and ports integrated into KeyTronicEMS's most popular keyboard.
KeyTronicEMS's Lifetime line of retail products brings the company's best-built keyboard and mouse products directly to consumers. If, under reasonable use, any Lifetime product should ever fail, KeyTronicEMS will replace or repair it. Currently, KeyTronicEMS markets a limited line of keyboards, mice and other peripherals through leading distributors, including Ingram Micro, Merisel, Tech Data, as well as other regional distributors.
